    In Monster Hunter Wilds, a Whopper is a classification for extremely large fish that require a special technique to catch. These fish can be found in various locations, but the most reliable spot is the large lake in Area 17 of Scarlet Forest.

    How to Catch a Whopper

    1. Location: Head to the large reservoir in Area 17 of Scarlet Forest.
    2. Equipment:
      • Equip your Fishing Rod
      • Use either the Tuff Joint Bait or Duster Rig lure
    3. Fishing Technique:
      • Cast your line towards visible large fish
      • When a Whopper bites, move the left stick (LS) in the direction the fish is swimming
      • If the fish leaps, move LS in the direction of the leap and press RT to restrain it
      • When the fish tires, use LS to reel it in with an up and down motion
