Crossplay Masterclass: Monster Hunter Wilds Unleashed!
Monster Hunter Wilds introduces crossplay as a major feature, allowing players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S to seamlessly team up from launch. This marks the first time in the franchise's history that crossplay is available at release, addressing a long-standing request from fans. Players can join lobbies across platforms through a matchmaking system that supports both public and private sessions. Crossplay is activated by default but can be disabled for platform-specific matchmaking if desired.
While crossplay enhances multiplayer accessibility, cross-progression is not supported. This means save data remains tied to individual platforms, preventing progress transfer between devices. Additionally, lobbies in Monster Hunter Wilds can host up to 16 players, providing a more expansive multiplayer experience compared to previous titles.
The inclusion of crossplay reflects Capcom's effort to unify the player base and make Monster Hunter Wilds the most community-driven entry in the series to date.
